Big Rock Candy Mountaineering

Big Rock Candy Mountaineering makes outdoor clothing based on the early American alpinists, mountaineers and gear innovators who defined outdoor style in the 1950s, 60s and 70s. It was co-founded by industry veterans Samuel Hardeman and Peter Middleton, who got tired of hunting for legendary pieces of outdoor gear that no longer exist or cost a small fortune when they do. Their answer was to make them again, only better. You can see the references in the details. The parkas nod to vintage Eddie Bauer, the shorts recall classic Patagonia, and the graphics have a free-spirited streak. Fits, fabrics and colours are contemporary, so the clothes work on the trail, at the campsite or day to day.
