Blunt Umbrellas

Blunt Umbrellas began in New Zealand in 2006 with a simple idea: an umbrella should be built to last, and repairable when something goes wrong. Each one is modular, so parts can be looked after rather than binned. The clever bit is the patented radial tensioning system. Each Blunt tip acts like a mini umbrella, opening under full force to spread tension evenly from the frame to the canopy edge. A strut mechanism pushes force out towards the ribs, which gives the taut canopy its distinctive shape. The range runs from a compact, collapsible one for your bag to a full length classic, plus golf and sports sizes. There are also seasonal capsules and limited edition collaborations, including one with Graham Tipene.
