Cubitts

Cubitts makes spectacles and sunglasses, handcrafted in the traditional way to suit your shape, size and style. Frames are handmade at the Yard, one of two UK workshops the label runs, three hundred miles apart. Sizes run from Extra Small to Extra Large, and ZEISS precision lenses come as standard. The range is varied. There's Athlone, a mid-century silhouette with generous proportions and bent lugs, and a rimless line held together by slender titanium components. Acetate frames use cellulose acetate from Mazzucchelli and Takiron. A collection drawn from the late 1920s adds four more shapes. You can try frames on your face with the Speculator, or visit a store for eye exams, fitting, repairs and bespoke frame services.
