Danton

Danton began in 1935 as a French workwear brand, starting in a small workshop in Châtres-sur-Cher. Gabriel Danton took over, renamed the business and gave it the red diamond emblem. The early range was practical: chore coats, overalls, aprons and trousers, made to last. Those same pieces later found a second home in Japan, where the attention to fabric, fit and quiet detail suited what Danton was already doing. Lightweight construction, pared-back colours and a focus on function let the brand travel between the two cultures. Today the range covers shirts, trousers, jackets, coats, bags and hats, offered as unisex daily wear. It's French workwear seen through a Japanese lens.
