Garment Project

Garment Project is a Copenhagen label founded in 2013, starting with footwear. Clothing came later, but the shoe background still shapes how the designers think. They care about how trousers fall over a shoe, and how a change in length, volume or sole weight can shift a whole silhouette. Footwear is handmade in Portugal, mostly in leather and suede, with hand-stitched details on several styles. The clothing uses cotton, wool and leather alongside technical fabrics such as their own TechNylon, which has a crisp structure and a metallic sheen. References to classic footwear, workwear and sport run through the range. Collaborators include Storm, Pasteelo, MODO and Martin The Meat.
