Gentle Monster

Gentle Monster is a Korean eyewear label, and it started with a frustration. Founder Hankook Kim found the market was designed around Western facial proportions, so the earliest Gentle Monster glasses were made for Asian wearers who'd been left out of the conversation. That conversation has since gone global, with a fan base well beyond Seoul. The sunglasses move past the usual rounds and squares into more experimental territory: sculptural lines and unexpected angles.
