HEREU

HEREU takes its name from the Catalan word for "heir", and the name fits. Founded in Barcelona in 2014 by Jose Luis and Albert, who come from Valencia and Mallorca, the label makes shoes, bags and small leather goods with a Mediterranean feel. Everything is crafted in Spain by a network of family-run manufacturers, and the design team leans on those artisans' knowledge of traditional craft to make pieces that feel modern. Collections centre on woven leather bags, loafers and sandals, with natural materials and artisanal construction. Inspiration comes from folk techniques, modernist art and natural forms. The brand hopes each piece is worn, enjoyed and eventually passed on.
