Homme Plissé Issey Miyake is the menswear side of Issey Miyake's pleating work. It started in 2013 as the menswear evolution of Pleats Please, the women's line, and builds on the garment-pleating technique the house developed in the 1980s. The idea is simple and practical. Clothes are pleated after they are made, so they resist creases, dry quickly and feel light on the body. Because the pleats are cut to a regular width, the pieces mix and match easily.
