Isaac Sellam

Isaac Sellam is a Paris leatherwear label built around one obsession. The designer sewed his first jacket at 16 in his parents' kitchen, then spent 15 years studying and testing leathers and techniques before founding the brand in 2002. His Paris studio became a research lab for leather, and he worked with tanners to find new ways of handling the material, including tricky skins like crocodile and python. The look is edgy and rock-inspired but pared back. Metal clips and contrasting seams do double duty as decoration and construction, running down a back panel like a spine or across the sleeves. Exposed seams give a surgical feel. Pieces are made in France, and the range covers leather jackets, coats, knitwear and accessories.
