Jacquemus

Jacquemus is a French label started by Simon Porte Jacquemus in 2009, when he was just 19. He's self-taught, and he built the brand around Provençal storytelling and an easy Southern French feel. The menswear is playful but precise. Expect clean lines, clever proportions and relaxed tailoring, with wide-leg trousers, fluid shirting, soft knits and outerwear that mixes romance with everyday practicality. The label won the LVMH Special Prize in 2015 and has kept doing things its own way since, with theatrical runway shows, story-led imagery and a social media presence that reads more like art than advertising. It has also worked with Nike, among others. A good pick if you like your trousers roomy and your shirts soft.
