Jamieson's of Shetland

Jamieson's of Shetland is a family business now in its fifth generation, working with Shetland wool since the 1890s. It began by sourcing knitwear from local crofters and went on to open Shetland's only commercial woollen mill. Today it says it is the only business in the world taking Shetland wool from fleece to finished knitwear entirely within the Shetland Isles. The yarn is 100% pure Shetland, spun, dyed and knitted in-house, which gives the jumpers, cardigans and vests a soft feel and speckled colour.
