MASTERMIND WORLD

MASTERMIND WORLD is the outward-facing sibling of Mastermind Japan, made with an international market in mind. It launched at the same time as the revival of the mainline label, and it carries the punk-leaning instincts of designer Masaaki Homma, who founded Mastermind in 1997. Expect a moody, largely monochrome palette, graphic logo t-shirts and hoodies, and the skull and crossbones, a logo Homma reportedly drafted more than 1,000 times. The Ura-Hara roots show in the attitude. There are also collaborations with Fred Perry, Dr. Martens and Vans Vault, where footwear becomes the canvas. Both lines are sold through the Mastermind Tokyo online store.
