RIER

RIER was founded in 2019 by Andreas Steiner in Paris, but its roots are in his native South Tyrol. The label takes the mountain pieces he grew up around in the Dolomites and reworks them for city life, with earth-toned, tailored designs that balance function and minimalism. Clothes and accessories are made from responsibly sourced, natural materials, in collaboration with local craftsmen in Austria and northern Italy. The brand says it is committed to a transparent supply chain and to a human-scale economy. The designs are practical, essential and reduced, and meant to suit the city and the countryside equally. A good one to look at if you like quiet, useful clothes with an alpine background.
