Space Available

Space Available is a Bali based label started in 2020 by husband and wife Daniel Mitchell and Hilda Sembiring. It sets out to challenge the "take, make, waste" habit of fast fashion and to tackle the plastic crisis by turning ocean waste into useful materials. The pair work with designers, artists, scientists and environmentalists from around the world. The clothing is made in limited editions of wardrobe staples. A Space Available t-shirt, for example, uses locally sourced upcycled materials and ends up as a one-of-a-kind piece for everyday wear. There's a homeware side too, with playful pieces made from recycled bottle caps. If you want basics with a clear environmental purpose behind them, this is a label worth a look.
