Berner Kühl is a menswear brand founded in Copenhagen in 2020. The brand's Made in Scotland outerwear release shows how it thinks about coats. Protection matters as much as craft, detail and endurance. Specialist Scottish coat makers, who still do everything by hand, work with bonded cotton sourced from the Scottish producer Fothergill. They join the fabric layers by hand with a specially formulated adhesive, then seal each seam with tape to help keep the weather out. It is a slow process, and the brand says the best garments are built to last rather than rushed.
