A Vontade

A Vontade makes casual clothes with a workwear and military backbone. The label takes its starting point from classic US and European military, workwear, dress and sportswear, treating each as a source of useful ideas, then adds a modern sensibility and Japanese care for detail. Designer Kazuyuki Yamakawa is the person behind it. Everything is made in Japan, and the label keeps the tried and tested techniques worth carrying forward. Its view is that everyday clothes have to be tough and wearable for many years, so small details get close attention. The aim is pieces that gain character the more you wear them. Expect familiar shapes, slightly reworked.
