Barmas

Barmas is a denim-led label founded in 2017 by Massimo Chiapponi. The Local Merchants say it began in Padua, while the brand itself goes by Barmas Venezia and draws on Venice for its outlook. Chiapponi set out to pair Made in Veneto manufacturing quality with sought-after materials and production methods from around the world. The idea is to bring Italian tailoring together with denim, so pieces feel elegant and comfortable at once. Collections are made with CPA SRL, an Italian producer with over 50 years of experience in luxury garments. Barmas says it doesn't chase trends and wants each piece to feel individual. It also says its choices look to the future with responsibility. Expect sartorial shaping applied to denim.
