Blundstone has been making tough, no-nonsense footwear since 1870, founded in Hobart, Tasmania, where it remains based today. The company was bought by its current family owners in 1932 and added the New Zealand-founded John Bull brand in 2000. Best known for its elastic-sided boots, Blundstone's range has grown to cover gumboots, lace-up safety footwear and casual boots for men, women and kids. Leather footwear is manufactured overseas across Vietnam, Thailand, India, China and Mexico, with gumboots made at the Tasmanian headquarters. The brand is ISO9001 quality endorsed and works to sustainable development principles, maximising recycled materials in production and packaging.
