Who we are
LabelTrail is the data controller for this website. Questions about your data go to [email protected].
What we collect
When you contact us
The contact form collects your name, email address, the topic you pick and your message. We use them only to read and answer your message (our legitimate interest in replying to you). We keep messages for up to two years, then delete them. The form doesn’t record your IP address.
When you visit a stockist
When you click through to a shop we count the click: which shop, which label page and which page you came from. That count has no personal information in it. Some of these links go through an affiliate network (Sovrn Commerce) so the shop knows we sent you. Once you leave LabelTrail, the network and the shop may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.
Analytics, unless you turn it off
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people use, only so we can improve the site. We don’t use it for advertising or to build profiles of you: Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off and the account isn’t linked to any advertising account. Google processes this data for us and may transfer it to the US under the UK–US data bridge.
UK law allows analytics used only to improve a website without asking first, as long as you can object. You can turn it off at any time with the button below or the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page; Google Analytics then stops loading and its cookies are removed.
Cookies
Who else sees your data
Our hosting provider, our email provider (for contact messages) and Google (for analytics, unless you turn it off). Each only processes it on our instructions. We never sell your data.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected] and we’ll reply within a month. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
