Didriksons has made weatherproof outerwear since 1913, when Julius and Hanna Didrikson began producing oil garments in the fishing community of Grundsund, on Sweden's west coast. That practical, sea-facing start still shapes the brand: rubber replaced oil cloth in the 1930s, a waterproofing welding technique arrived in 1947, and polyurethane fabrics followed in 1981, bringing rain gear to a wider market. Today the range covers raincoats, parkas, winter and shell jackets, and ski clothing for men, women and children. The Skutevik jacket, worn by fishermen and sailors for decades, remains a standout piece built for genuine protection against wind, rain and cold.
