IDEA

IDEA is a London publisher that started out as a source of vintage art books. It has since grown into something between a book dealer, an archive and a cultural time capsule, championing rare titles and fashion artefacts. Its own store sits on the 2nd floor of 101 Wardour Street in Soho, and it has a long partnership with Dover Street Market. Beyond the books, IDEA makes apparel and accessories: shirts, tees, hats and caps, and bags. Some of it carries icon graphics, and there have been collaborations with artists such as Alasdair McLellan. It's a good place to start if you like your clothes to come with a bit of publishing and counterculture behind them.
