Levi's® Vintage Clothing

Levi's® Vintage Clothing, or LVC, does something most labels avoid: it looks backwards on purpose. The line was created to tell the stories in the Levi's brand's long history, so the aim is to replicate the past rather than predict what comes next. Each season the design team picks a handful of pieces from the Levi Strauss & Co. Archives in San Francisco, a collection of around 20,000 garments spanning the 1880s to the mid-1980s. The only change made is grading the piece to give a full size range. Nothing else is adjusted, so a boxy fit stays boxy. The idea is that someone picking up a pair of 1890 jeans today should feel they're holding the same thing as a wearer a century ago.
