MAN-TLE

MAN-TLE is an Australian label started in 2015 by Aida Kim and Larz Harry. It is produced by Heavy Weight Clothing Pty Ltd, a design and fabrication company that makes textiles, garments, accessories and objects with expert Japanese manufacturers. The label describes its products as focused on durability, reliability and practicality, and it takes its cues from Australia's rugged landscape. The ideas start in Australia, but the clothes are made in Japan using original cloth and hardware. The aim is garments that adapt with the wearer as their terrain changes. Its own site also stocks tools and clothing from craftspeople around the world alongside the MAN-TLE collections. One to look at if you like practical, utilitarian clothes.
