SAMPAIX STUDIO started in Manchester in 2015, and it still reads like a label built by people working things out as they go. The approach is DIY, with trial and error part of how the designs come together. There is a meticulous focus on detail, and the fresh ideas are rooted in familiar silhouettes rather than anything loud. The studio works outside the usual seasons, so there is no fashion calendar to follow. Its work looks at the interplay of luxurious materials. At Goodhood, regular prices run from £75 to £255, which sits comfortably mid-range, and a few pieces are currently reduced.
