TARVAS FOOTWEAR

Tarvas is a Helsinki footwear brand built for the space between city and forest. A group of footwear professionals got together to make a shoe that could cope with unpredictable Nordic weather and still look good. Their thinking was that if it works there, it will work anywhere. They made countless prototypes in a basement workshop, and the first batch of shoes was released in 2017. Production stays local, split between that basement workshop in the city and a rural factory in the middle of the woods. The name comes from an ancient moose, Tarvas, the brand's spirit animal. Expect clean, understated silhouettes with serious weather resistance. It ships worldwide.
