Arc'teryx

Arc'teryx was founded in 1989 by a crew of Vancouver climbers who turned a basement into a workshop for harnesses and packs. The Coast Mountains of British Columbia still shape the clothing, which is made for climbing, skiing, snowboarding, trail running and hiking in unforgiving weather. The name comes from Archaeopteryx, the first reptile to develop feathers for flight. The men's range runs from shells such as the Beta LT to the Atom Hoody, which uses Coreloft synthetic insulation that keeps its warmth when wet. There are also trousers, t-shirts, sneakers, bags and the beanie. Flagship shells use GORE-TEX Pro, and micro-seam construction cuts weight and bulk.
