Folk

Folk is a London label started by Cathal McAteer, built around the idea of "style without drama". The clothes are quiet on purpose, with the interest in the small things: thread colour, pocket placement, button texture. Corozo nut buttons and custom fabrics, including organic cotton ripstop, are part of that. Central to the range are the Assembly trousers, with a relaxed tapered leg and drawstring waist, and chore jackets sit alongside them. Folk is still independent and works with artists and musicians on twice-yearly collections, the latest with the Goss Brothers. It uses organic cotton, recycled polyester and upcycled fabrics, has four London stores, and says customers wear its clothes for many years.
