Klättermusen

Klättermusen is a Swedish mountaineering label founded in 1975. The name roughly translates as "Climbing Mouse". It began as a small DIY workshop where climbers built fixes for problems they met on the hill, and it now makes equipment, clothing and accessories for unforgiving weather and unpredictable terrain. Its motto is "Maximum Safety, Minimum Impact". The label sources post-consumer waste, and its stated approach is to repair equipment until it falls apart. In 2009 it moved its whole backpack line to recycled polyamide, and in 2017 it went fluorocarbon-free across the collection. Look for asymmetrical lines and clever pockets, plus the Algir bags, which attach to pack webbing or work as a crossbody.
