KLEMAN

KLEMAN is a French shoe brand that grew out of a family workshop in La Romagne, Anjou. René Cléon, a shoemaker, started it after the war, and the family has made shoes since 1945. The name, short for Cléon Manufacture, arrived in 1988. Before it became a name people sought out, the shoes were made for working jobs, supplied to the national railway company, Air France, customs, some fire departments and the French army. Many models meet the ISO EN-20347 standard, including anti-slip soles. The Padror derby, formerly the Padre, has stayed unchanged since the 1980s, with a serrated hem and distinctive stitching. Everything is still made in France, and the collection is unisex.
