DELADA

Delada is a London label founded by Lada Komarova, who is also its Creative Director. It makes clothes for men and women, and its starting point is her childhood in Russia during the final years of the Soviet Union, followed by her move to the UK. The label plays with the pull between traditional uniformity, expressive romanticism and rebellious counter-culture. It is best known for deconstructed styles, which come from Komarova's self-taught approach. As a child she cut up old suits and dresses and sewed them back together into something new, and that habit still shapes the collection. The first collection launched through SHOWstudio and Machine-A as an exclusive collaboration, with a commissioned fashion film. Machine-A in London stocks the label today.
