FilMelange

FilMelange is a Japanese cut and sewn label, founded in 2007 with a simple aim: getting everyday essentials right. The name comes from "fil" (thread) and "mélange" (mixed colour), the flecked yarn long used for T-shirts and sweatshirts. The brand does its own development, from choosing the cotton through to yarn, fabric and sewing. Its fabrics are knitted by Japanese craftspeople, and everything is made in Japan. It also runs its own factory and trains the next generation of makers there. The result is soft, light, well-made basics, chosen for comfort and durability and for lasting wear over passing trends. FilMelange says it hopes you'll feel the joy of wearing what it makes.
