Finamore

Finamore is a Neapolitan shirtmaker that has been at it since 1925, when Carolina set up her first workshop in the historic centre of Naples. Her son Alberto and his wife Stefania opened a larger workshop in San Giorgio a Cremano in the 1960s, and the third generation joined in the 1990s. It is still family-run. The shirts are made in Naples using traditional techniques, including the hand-stitched "arriccio" sleeve, which gives the arm plenty of freedom, plus fitted shoulders and an unlined collar. The range runs through Egyptian cotton, twill, oxford and denim, with a white Giza cotton poplin as the essential. Trunk Clothiers stocks it as ready-to-wear.
