Gallia Shirts

Gallia Shirts is the shirting line from Almalia, a Venetian house that has made shirts since 1958. It started out manufacturing for other brands, and for decades has worked under its own name from Galliera Veneta. Everything is Made in Italy, cut and finished in the Veneto, where the company still keeps production and controls every step of its supply chain. The look borrows from 1970s and '80s menswear, with bold use of colour. Expect Oxford shirts and stripes, patch-pocket overshirts, corduroy-collared chore jackets and outerwear in dense, brushed Casentino wool. Fabrics run from pure cotton and gabardine to technical non-iron. A good pick if you want a colourful wardrobe built on shirtmaking craft.
