Knickerbocker

Knickerbocker is a New York menswear brand founded by Andrew Livingston in 2013. It started as a manufacturing company on the border of Brooklyn and Queens, after Livingston, who had been making hats there with a 60-year-old factory, took over the space with two friends, funded by a Kickstarter campaign. For five years they made pieces for other labels while building their own. They closed the factory in summer 2018 and moved production to mills and factories in Northern Portugal, most of them family owned and run. The collection mixes classic American style with touches of art, music and sports, and puts tradition, utility and purpose first.
