Ludwig Reiter is a Viennese shoemaker founded in 1885 by the master shoemaker Ludwig Reiter, who moved to Vienna from St. Joachimsthal. The company describes its work as Viennese shoemaking craft, quality materials and lasting style. Early on it made shoes for both civilians and military personnel. In 1902 Ludwig Reiter II travelled from Vienna to the US and brought the method of Goodyear welting back to Austria. It is still a family-owned business today.
