Mooncastle

Mooncastle is a Japanese knitwear label launched in 2020 by Tsukisiro Knit Co., a family-owned factory in Osaka with a history going back to 1966. It was the factory's first independent brand. Everything is made in the Senshu area of Osaka, and the label says it looks for the finest materials from around the world, guided by the belief that "God is in the details." Its signature is Ice Cotton, an exclusive yarn from Switzerland's Spoerry 1866. Stockists describe it as cool and dry against the skin, which suits warm weather. For SS26 there are Ice Cotton T-shirts and a Paper Silk Knitted Crew, blending silk, cotton and Mino washi paper. Trunk Clothiers calls the knitwear well priced, with clean, understated silhouettes.
