OBEY Clothing

OBEY Clothing is the streetwear label built on the work of artist and designer Shepard Fairey. Fairey founded it in 2001, and he is the American street artist behind the 1989 "Andre the Giant Has a Posse" sticker campaign, which began on the pavements of Providence, Rhode Island. The name comes from John Carpenter's film They Live, a blunt command meant to make people question authority instead. Expect graphic tees, crews and hoodies in heavyweight cotton, with artwork drawn from Fairey's stencil work and protest posters. The cut runs generous and boxy, so most people should stay true to size, or go down one for a slightly cropped look.
