OCTI

OCTI is the jewellery project of London designer Octi Ransom, who started it in 2020. The pieces begin with patterns and textures found in nature, then become small sculptures to wear. Some come from moulds of rocks or vegetable skins that would otherwise be thrown away. Others start as melted wax, finished with hand-drawn linework based on water, rock formations and woodgrain. Everything is designed and made in London. The wax models are made by hand in a Hackney studio and cast at a North London foundry using recycled metals, through lost-wax casting. Pieces are made to order, so nothing is overproduced, and spare metal is melted down for future work. The range covers rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces for women and men.
