Rodd & Gunn began in 1946, when the first English Pointer motif was stitched onto a range of men's shirts. The brand took its current form in 1987 with a standalone store on Queen Street, Auckland, and has grown into a New Zealand label with stores across both hemispheres. Its clothing draws on New Zealand's landscapes, using merino wool from New Zealand and Australia's high country, Egyptian cotton and French linen from Normandy, with shirting fabrics developed alongside Albini and leather bags handcrafted by Hungary's Szaalardi family. The range covers shirts, polos, jackets, blazers, jeans, chinos, shorts, boots and accessories, built for smart and casual wear.
