Jules B started life in 1984 in Jesmond, when Julian and Rhona Blades opened a womenswear shop with a sharp eye for the overlooked and the well-made. Menswear followed almost immediately next door, drawing on Julian's own family tailoring heritage, which runs back five generations. That grounding still shows in the edit today: proper tailoring from Xacus, Thomas Maine and Baldessarini sits alongside considered knitwear from Wool and Co, MOS MOSH and Amanda Christensen, with directional pieces from Peuterey, RRD and Replay for softer days. It's a shop built on patient curation rather than chasing trends, which has brought it Drapers' Best Independent Fashion Retailer title three times over. Now with two shops in the North East, Jules B remains a dependable source for men who want quality with a bit of polish.
