Stetson Hats

Stetson is an American hat maker founded in 1865 by John B. Stetson, who is credited with creating the original cowboy hat. The name became tied to the American West, and the hats were worn by figures such as Buffalo Bill, Calamity Jane, Will Rogers and Annie Oakley. Today the range covers fedoras, outdoor hats, felt hats, flat caps and its signature Western styles. In the 1940s and 1950s it added tweed flap caps. The brand has since grown beyond hats into boots, shirts, denim and outerwear, and its boots are handmade in over 200 steps.
