Flower Mountain

Flower Mountain makes outdoor-inspired trainers, and the story starts with two people who loved mountain trekking and music festivals. Keisuke Ota, a Japanese designer, and Yang Chao, a Chinese designer, founded the label in 2015. They wanted to move away from the sterile look of technical sneakers, so they added traditional Japanese textile patterns and hand-stitched embroidery to high-tech shapes. The practical side is solid too. Pairs have antibacterial cork insoles and high-grip Vibram outsoles. Materials include eco-conscious options such as algae-based polymers and eco-suede. The Yamano 3, in suede, nylon and shearling, shows the mix well: a trail-minded build with a softer, more crafted feel. A good pick if you want trainers that work in town and on a walk.
