RUOHAN

RUOHAN describes itself as a Chinese womenswear label, established in 2021. Worth knowing for a menswear site: it is womenswear only. The look is modern minimalism, usually built around a neutral colour palette, with abstract design and ideas drawn from travel, art and literature. It launched with a 37-piece collection for AW21, showed its first collection in Shanghai for SS22 with support from Lane Crawford, and was one of the winners of YU PRIZE 2022. Since SS23 it has shown twice a year on the official Paris Fashion Week calendar, and it works with over 70 retailers worldwide. MACHINE-A lists a different origin, New York in 2020.
