Zoo York

Zoo York is a skate label with New York roots. Slam City, its UK distributor in the 1990s, calls it an East Coast institution that paved the way. Eli Morgan Gesner is named as the company founder, and RB Umali was at the helm when the label released Mixtape, a video that merged skateboarding and hip-hop. Slam City still counts it a stand-alone classic, often referenced today. The range now covers tees, hoodies, vests, headwear and decks, sold through a store aimed at the UK and Europe. The returning pieces feature graphics from the archives, so a new generation can wear them. A good fit if you like skate history with a hip-hop streak.
