Aries

Aries is a London label started in 2009 by Sofia Prantera, who had already co-founded Silas in 1998. Fergus Purcell co-founded it with her, and his star sign gave the label its name. It began as a denim label and became better known for graphics: the Roman temple logo, the rat and the No Problemo tee. Sofia trained at Central Saint Martins, and you can see it in the interest in hand dyeing, printing and hand finished construction. The label describes itself as luxury streetwear with a punk attitude, drawing on trash culture and outsider art. About 90% of production is in Italy. The business is privately owned and self funded.
