Autry

Autry began in Dallas, Texas, in 1982, making performance shoes for tennis, running and aerobics. It became known as "the shoe with the American flag", and the 1985 Medalist was rated by Tennis Magazine as the finest shoe on the market. The brand then went quiet for a long stretch before being relaunched in 2019 by four Italian entrepreneurs, who kept the original look while aiming at a new crowd. Today the Medalist is still the one to know: a low-profile sneaker with a cream sole and the flag logo. The Hyperway takes a chunkier, 90s dad-runner route with mesh, suede and Action Cush technology. Expect premium leathers, aged-looking off-white soles and clean lines, plus a small apparel range of t-shirts, sweaters and joggers.
