Danner

Danner is a bootmaker from Portland, Oregon, born in 1932 when Charles Danner opened his business on a stubborn belief that superior craftsmanship mattered whatever the economy was doing. Nearly a century on, the boots are still rooted in the Pacific Northwest and built for its demanding terrain. The range runs from the Mountain Light, one of its heritage boots, to modern hikers and lower-profile shoes. Expect stitchdown construction, premium leathers and weather-ready materials, with newer styles using Vibram Megagrip traction and GORE-TEX waterproofing. Danner focuses on repairable, long-lasting construction, and has a team dedicated to recrafting well-worn boots with new components. Its socks are also made in the USA.
