Red Wing

Red Wing make work boots in Red Wing, Minnesota, where Charles Beckman opened a shop in 1905 for the miners, loggers and farmers who needed them. The boots are crafted in the US with leather from S.B. Foot Tanning Company, finished with triple stitching and a Goodyear welt, so they can be resoled again and again. They arrive stiff, and the leather develops a rich patina as you wear them in. The Moc Toe is the one most people know, with its moccasin-inspired toe and traction tread sole. The Iron Ranger and Beckman are also worth a look. The Red Wing Heritage collection arrived in 2008.
