Dawson Denim

Dawson Denim was founded in 2012 by Kelly Dawson and Scott Ogden, who started with small-batch runs of selvedge denim made in the UK. Kelly's background is in denim design and management, while Scott restores and sources mid-century furniture. Since January 2025, production has moved to Okayama, Japan, where the label works with three mills that weave on traditional Imamura and Toyoda shuttle looms. Every garment is still hand-finished in the UK workshop and cut from in-house patterns. The cotton is organic, and fabric is ordered only as needed to limit waste. Beyond jeans, there are complementary workwear-inspired pieces. The logo, a magneto lever or cheese-head screw, nods to pre-1960s motorcycles.
