Elmer Gloves

Elmer Little started making deerskin gloves in Gloversville, New York, in 1893. The town was named after the trade, so gloves were the whole point of the place. Swany, a company based in Kagawa, Japan, took the name on and now designs the range there. That explains why the ideas are odder than the date suggests: down mittens with an open palm, hooded Windstopper gloves, flip-top wool fleece, trigger over-mittens and something called the Cuddly Cub. There are neck warmers too. Most of the range is wool pile, which is the warm one. In the UK, Oi Polloi is an authorised stockist and carries the range.
